This service is intended for clients who wish to have permanent access to information about accounts and banking services. MKB ROMEXTERRA BANK clients will be able to comfortably carry out their banking operations 24/7, and have technical support available between the hours 8:00 a.m. and 5 p.m..

This project was developed because of a need to provide our clients with a service that allows for long-distance and top quality banking services. The TerraBanking service covers a wide range of banking services, both for corporates and individuals.

There are two types of TerraBanking subscriptions: TERRA Home, for individual clients, and TERRA Business for corporate clients.

  • Minimum Pentium II PC computer, 450 MHz, 64MB RAM, Windows 98 or higher
  • Internet Explorer 6.0 or highe

  • Cryptographic USB TOKEN with a nominal and password-activated digital certificate (available from the bank).

    Software requirements:
  • Internet Explorer 6.0. The latest version may be installed from the Microsoft site

  • System security is guaranteed with the use of the following measures:

  • Client-bank communication is encrypted using SSL 3.0 128 bits protocol
  • Client-bank authentication is made using digital certificates issued and recognized by the bank, and exchange of keys uses the RSA encryption algorythm with a 1024 bit key
  • The communication of messages is encrypted using the 3DES algorythm with a 128 bit key
  • The EToken USB token for encrypting digital certificates is PIN-protected
  • Access to users is based on user name and password
  • The system’s security is increased by network protection measures with a firewall
  • Access and processing equipment is redundant and access by Internet to the bank is balanced by two Internet providers
  • Digital signature for transactions to ensure non-repudiation

  • Q: How may I benefit from the TerraBanking Internet Banking service?
    A: To use the TerraBanking service you must:

     

  • be a MKB ROMEXTERRA BANK client
  • sign a contract to use the TerraBanking service and present this to one of the bank’s tellers

    Q: What do I need to use the TerraBanking service (technical needs)?
    A:
  • A minimum Pentium II PC computer, 450 MHz, 64MB RAM, Windows 98 or higher, Internet
  • Explorer 6.0 or higher;
  • Access to the Internet through a LAN network or a modem and phone line;
  • USB Token and system access passwords.

    Q: I have a slow Internet connection (dial-up). Can I use the TerraBanking service?
    A: Yes.  But before connecting to your account, you must check the “I have a slow connection” box.

    Q: There are several persons authorized to access my company’s account.  Is it possible to use multiple signatures to make payments?
    A: Yes. According to authorizations defined in the company’s file any combination of persons with “First Signature” and “Second Signature” may sign for payments.

    Q: Can someone get into my account and make payments in my name?
    A: No, there is a multi-level security system. We recommend that you not provide anyone the access information (user name, password, USB token, PIN). For more details concerning security see further on our site or send an e-mail to: terrabanking@romexterra.ro.
    Q: What costs are involved?
    A: Costs for services are as follows:
  • monthly user fee EUR 0/per user for users who have accessed the TerraBanking service at least once in the month in progress;
  • monthly non-use fee EUR 2 EUR/per user for users who do not access the TerraBanking service in the month in progress;
    Q: What operations can I carry out using TerraBanking?
    A: Creating current accounts, term deposits and accumulation type deposits, specific operations and payment facilities, transfer between own accounts, payment orders, currency exchanges, foreign currency conversions, external payment orders, foreign currency transfer orders, salary payments, payment of fixed and mobile phone services, etc..

    Q: Is the service available all the time (24/7)?
    A: Yes. You can make payments even on weekends, and these will be considered the same as any working day.

    Q: When will TerraBanking payment orders be processed?
    A:
  • If the payment beneficiary is a MKB ROMEXTERRA BANK client the processing will take place at the same time as the payment (instantaneous)
  • If the payment beneficiary is not an MKB ROMEXTERRA BANK client and the payment order is confirmed by 10:00 a.m. or on an emergency basis  between 10 a.m. and 12. p.m. the processing will take place on the same day.
  • If the payment beneficiary is not an MKB ROMEXTERRA BANK client and the payment order is confirmed after 12 p.m. the payment will be processed on the next working day.

    Q: When will my account show that I have received money from a client of another bank.
    A: As soon as the Electronic Payment System transaction is imported, your account will immediately show the transaction.  This operation occurs daily every three hours.

    Q: Is there some way to notify the beneficiary about a transfer to his account?
    A: Yes, by sending him/her by e-mail a PDF copy of the payment order, which can be printed.  The supplier receives a verification code which he/she can use to verify the payment directly at our bank.

    Q: Can rights of access (access to accounts, possibility of making payments, etc.) be defined for a user?
    A: If you are the administrator you may assign or withdraw various rights to users authorized for access to your accounts.  The range of rights able to be configured is very wide.

    Q: Can TerraBanking payments be made from my card account?
    A: Yes, the card account can be used as a current account.

    Q: May I see account credits and balances in real time?
    A: Yes, all operations in your account are available in the real time statement or through a filtered method which shows only payments or receipts above a certain amount.

    Q: Can I import payment orders created with my company’s accounting program?
    A: Yes, it is possible to import simple payment orders, Treasury payment orders, or salary payment files.
